Bryan Cutler candidate for re-election to the 100th Legislative District, State House of
Representatives, has announced he will be running in New Hampshire in August. "I would like
all of my constituents to know that I will work hard to prepare for this run and expect to make a
strong showing." An enthusiastic Cutler said. Cutler will be accompanied by his wife Jennifer
who has loyally stood by his side during previous runs. "I believe in my husband's ability to win
and win big" a stoic Jennifer Cutler said.
Despite the political overtones, this race will be a very different one for the freshman
legislator. Cutler, a long time marathon enthusiast, who just completed physical therapy for a
knee injury, will be competing in the Timberman 70.3 Half-Ironman Marathon to be held in
Gilford, New Hampshire August 17th. The race consists of a 1.2 mile swim, 56 miles of
bicycling and a 13.1 mile run.
Beginning June 1, 2008 Bryan Cutler's campaign website, http://www.electbryancutler.com, will
feature a section on its home page tracking Cutler's race toward the Timberman. The section
titled "Run Bryan Run" will also include a link to a blog where Bryan Cutler will be talking about
his preparation and results in pre-races. He'll also offer general tips for those who might like to
get involved in marathon racing and constituents who would like to train with him will be given
the opportunity to do so. Contact information for the training sessions will also be available
on Cutler's website.
“I am looking forward to the race. Too often in life we focus on only winning and lose sight of
other important aspects of our goals. It is just as important to compete well as it is to win.
Being someone who was once overweight I recognize the importance of a healthy lifestyle.
So even if I don't win the race I will win because I'll have another year of healthy living and
training.” Cutler said.
